HOME BUSINESS IDEAS- 18 TACTICS TO BRING IN THE CUSTOMERS

Ive found the perfect marketing solution for your business. First, shut your eyes. Now hug your computer monitor passionately. Using ultra-secret technology developed at the nodents.com labs, I'll instantly beam lists of overfilled walleted customers to your homebased business.

Well, OK, possibly not. But it's not because I don't have the technology (only one more program, I swear)—really, I want to help you help yourself, and no, I dont mean Jerry McGuire style either. So I've brought you something even better: 18 nibblets of marketing secrets that will help you locate the customers you need to fill your business bank account. Print this, email it or swab it on a huge post it note and get ready for loads of sales.

Basics 101
1. Build quality marketing tools. Identify everything your image shows each time you make contact with a prospective customer or client, including stationery, brochures etc, then tweak it so it is all cohesive and fits together in one unified image.

If this scares your budget people, fine. Shop for bids with college students or elance.com etc., but do it!

2. Greet clients with panache and style. Voicemail may not seem like a integral component of your marketing plan, but if a potential client calls and your cell phone has a bump and grind tune or no message at all, your doomed-that customer is gones-ville.
Get yourself a professional voicemail system (the phone company offers options, and soe does the web) and use several boxes so callers can get more information and get a sense of size and organization on your part.

3. Focus narrowly. What does that mean?? Instead of wasting time to reach all the people all of the time, narrow your audience to highly qualified prospects only. Instead of advertising to five demographics, go to the top two groups with the best prospects.

4. Know your competition
Take the time to size up your competition, and do it differently. By keeping a unique position, you let your customers know what sets you apart and your advantages.

Be nice!
6. Offer your help. Help others out. Helping others with free advice entices others to return the favor and often give you business.

7. Offer free samples. Give your customers a sample of the product or service you are selling., sort of a free test ride. If they like what you offer they are bound to be back for a second helping.

8. Network. Get with others in your marketing community-especially online, and co-op. This can broaden your prescense and build customers.

9. Cross-promote with other businesses. What do your customers buy from you that is similar to others? Find them and figure out how you can promote with one another. If you're a detailer, hook up with a used car lot or repair service shop.

Getting Online
10. Communicate online. Find forums that cater to your audience, and join the public and have a link to your site.

11. Offer an e-zine. This will get your customers a chance to know you and for your marketing skills to be honed.

12. Don't wait for customers to find yoru website. Rather than purchasing an e-mail list for mass, look for businesses that have a customer connection to your own business. Then send them a personalized e-mail telling them why you think they should construct a business relationship with you.

Spreading the Word
13. Be where your best prospects are.. If you have a used car sales business, ask your high school if you can place a display or newsletter in the auto shop or drivers license class. [Advertise somewhere] where your customers are [likely] to be thinking about what you're marketing."

14. Be an expert. Articles and ezines can establish you not only as a provider, but a trusted source.

15. Speak at a seminar. It's cheap and it's easy. THis is a great way to build more prospects and your mailing list.

Customer Service
16.Once you have closed a sale, send a bunch of thank yous. Often referrals are the best and easiest customers to get-give your new customers a reason to refer you.

17. 100% guarantee. More people will risk the sale if they feel more comfortable. Period.

18. Word-of-mouth marketing/buzz. This is the cheapest thing you can do to boost business. The best way to attract referrals is to do a great job: Impress your clients, and they'll tell everyone they know. Want more buzz, think outside the lines.

Thats it!!
